柏拉圖(Plato,Πλάτeων, 西元前427年—西元前347年),古希臘偉大的哲學家,也是全部西方哲學乃至整個西方文化最偉大的哲學家和思想家之一。
他和老師蘇格拉底,學生亞里斯多德並稱為希臘三賢。另有其創造或發展的概念包括:柏拉圖思想、柏拉圖主義、柏拉圖式愛情等。柏拉圖的主要作品為對話錄,其中絕大部分對話都有蘇格拉底出場。但學術界普遍認為,其中的蘇格拉底形象並不完全是歷史上的蘇格拉底。
除了荷馬之外,柏拉圖也受到許多那之前的作家和思想家的影響,包括了畢達哥拉斯所提出的“和諧”概念,以及阿那克薩戈拉教導蘇格拉底應該將心靈或理性作為判斷任何事情的根據;巴門尼德提出的連結所有事物的理論也可能影響了柏拉圖對於靈魂的概念。
